Boyd Refuge

Hi everyone. I hope all of you are well and enjoying the summer. I've been relaxing, taking a break, and trying to regroup a little after a pretty good crash and burn. As much as I enjoy blogging, this break is necessary for me, so I've been trying to get out and enjoy the nice weather before it turns cooler.
.
I recently took a walk at a place called Boyd Refuge. It's a small place, but a nice walk through the woods near a pond. There are also a couple of butterfly gardens before the woods. These are some pictures that I took there. I don't know the names of all of the flowers, so these won't be captioned. If you click on the pictures, you can see them larger and they look better.

Thank you so much for all of your nice comments and good wishes. I'm doing okay, but it is taking me some time to unwind and feel normal again.
.
I would like to congratulate Laughing Wolf and 2 Sweet'n Saxy on receiving their awards and anyone else who may have received them. You all have wonderful blogs and are so deserving. I really feel blessed that you have chosen to pass them on to me. Thank you from my heart. I'm placing them on my Awards Page with pride.
.
I'll be back as soon as I'm feeling my old self again.

Beautiful photos of your wonderful walk. The photo of the Monarch butterfuly reminded me of the one I saw late last week, the first one I've seen in ages. To think they fly across the globe from one end to the other.

Walks in parks are always good for regenerating one's energy.

Hi Lin! I am glad all is well with you. Sometimes we need to take some "me" time to rejuvenate.

Thank you for the beautiful walk. The flowers are lovely, but I especially love the ponds shots.

Take care of yourself. Lisa

lin, thx... you are most deserving of the award

take all the time you need to feel like yourself again, too... one can never rush healing

after my dad's funeral in february, many of us went to the butterfly museum at niagara falls, ontario... it was super

your pics could easily be included in their slide show....

Very lovely! I particularly like that first shot--yellow & purple are complimentary on the color wheel, so they work very well.
You don't worry about us, though...You do what you have to do for you. *hug*

Lovely shots...especially liked the cone flowers (?) Hmmm...perhaps there's something in the way the planets are aligned that's spreading the "funk" around...

These are beautiful! Looks like a great place. That blue flower looks like it has electric currents running around inside of it. :-) You just continue to relax and take it easy.

Lin: You may have taken a break but your camera didn't. I love the captures you made on this walk, many of them are outstanding. You could use these to make a week of posts.
