A Little Whimsy

About a month ago, I was down at the beach. I watched people enjoying themselves, gulls flying overhead, walked some paths, and unwound some.

The beach was uncrowded, unlike the other beaches in Connecticut, which is why I like to go there

After the beach, what better thing is there to do, than to stop for ice cream?

There was so much wildlife here! First I saw this basket of flowers.

The light was hitting them nicely

Suddenly I was distracted by a voice. Wow! The tree spoke to me! He pointed downward, and said, "Read the sign, Lady!"

Oh my! Chimus Windus! This is an amazingly rare tree!

Being rare and all, it was adorned with all sorts of fine jewelry.

I spotted a little gecko with painted toenails that was walking on the tree, and a raccoon was perched on a limb very close to it

Oh gee! I almost didn't notice that there were two raccoons! "Hi Rocky!"

I looked some more, and there were more jewels on the tree. This was a very fine tree, indeed!

The castle was decked out with finery

And fancy birds were nesting there, too.

But all good things must come to an end, and now that the ice cream was gone, it was time to say "goodbye". I saw so many more wonderful things at this place, but I didn't have time to take pictures of them all.

I'm sorry that I haven't been by to visit your blogs. I'm under a lot of pressure right now, and I'm just trying to do whatever feels right at any given moment. Thank you so much for visiting and commenting. When things get back to normal here, I'll feel more like blogging regularly. I miss you all.
