Hi everyone,
.
About a month ago, I was down at the beach. I watched people enjoying themselves, gulls flying overhead, walked some paths, and unwound some.
This is a view looking down along the coastline
After the beach, what better thing is there to do, than to stop for ice cream?
Suddenly I was distracted by a voice. Wow! The tree spoke to me! He pointed downward, and said, "Read the sign, Lady!"
I spotted a little gecko with painted toenails that was walking on the tree, and a raccoon was perched on a limb very close to it
But all good things must come to an end, and now that the ice cream was gone, it was time to say "goodbye". I saw so many more wonderful things at this place, but I didn't have time to take pictures of them all..
I'm sorry that I haven't been by to visit your blogs. I'm under a lot of pressure right now, and I'm just trying to do whatever feels right at any given moment. Thank you so much for visiting and commenting. When things get back to normal here, I'll feel more like blogging regularly. I miss you all.

Beautiful pictures - and the best way to unwind - being at the beach!
Good move!
Cheers, Klaus
All nice photos this time. And thanks for introducing me to the rare tree Lin :)
Beautiful petunias! Hope all is well....visit when you can :)
What a truly delightful post. Such wonderful whimsy and warmth. I love it and smiled all the way through it. Of course the photos are excellent as always, but I could really feel YOU in this post. It made me want to hug you. So here is a BIG HUG from me. Thanks for touching my heart. Robin
How wonderful to spend such a day at the beach, the ice cream at a cute place on top of it!
Unwinding at the beach, whimsy and ice cream, too. What a great post.
A beautiful story and photographs! Made me want some ice cream too! )
lovely!
I really enjoyed going through those photos because it's winter here and they conveyed the essence of summer. That candy-striped house with the flowers was picture perfect.
...a little whimsy goes a long way. Hang in there!
What a sweet little ice cream shop! Lovely shots of the shore (I especially like the first one) and the flowers. Others were fun to look at. I felt like I was there with you except I didn't get to have an ice cream :-( Take care of yourself...
Lin: What an unusal post for you. I enjoyed the tree which you captured very well. Someone spent a lot of time gathering the decrorations. It was a fun trip.
Missing you too Lin, and hoping things settle out for you..Elder care is very stressfu, and my sister has it all to do for our mother - I'm too far away, and she can't travel any more. I'm going down to Atlanta to see her in 2 wekks - I'm excited, but scared - there will be big changes I know and I dread seeing them...this is a hard time.
Sometimes life intervenes with our daily walk doesn't it? Being a care giver can take up so much time, but in the end alway worth it.Blogging on the other hand is fun, but gets stressful when no time allows you to do what you want. I guess balance is the answer, but hard to come by most days. Loved your whimsical post, and was waiting to see what kind of ice cream you chose! I want to believe it was Raspberry, my favorite. Have a great day!
Lin, We miss you, but we understand. Hope things slow down for you soon. Great post! Very humerous and this looks like a fun place to stop. We all need a touch of whimsy on occasion :-) Great start for the day! That empty beach looked heavenly and the flowers were so pretty. Tell you mom we all love her and you too!
A very lovely blog Lin. Love that special tree, I wonder if I can get one to plant here too?? LOL!! I love the light and shadow on the flower picture. I wanted to see a picture of the ice cream too!!! :)
wow! i love that beach! what a nice view from there. and i envy that person reading a book along the beach.
The beach looks so peaceful. I wish I had a beach to visit that was not 1000 miles away. Great job capturing the flowers they are beautiful.
Loved your post today!! Just take care and attend to what you have to and see ya when you get around....
Hope all goes well and I love love that little house...ice cream place, whatever it is.
mom must come first right now, lin... don't feel obliged to keep up, we'll still be here when you are back to your 'old' self! :O lol
i hear the chimus windus calling, perhaps i'll pay a visit, one of these years.... ;)
A very relaxing and creative post, Lin. Take care of yourself - we aren't going anywhere!
I love your whimsy post!! The first picture is really nice. Take care,
A beach is always such a good place to relax, and an uncrowded one all the better. The Petunia colors are beautiful, and all the trimmings around that "rare" tree are so cool.
Take care.Just come back when you can.
You make me miss the beach. Not a lot of "beach" here in swampy/marshy southern Louisiana!
I just read your blog each time in total amazement...and wonder...you create such beauty lin...I hope things settle down for you...blogging is to be enjoyed...enjoy blogging as you wish and feel no pressure as life is full enough of pressure as it is.....
A wonderful, whimsical place. Thanks for the pictures.
Lovely photos. I just found your blog through Suburbia's. I hope some time on the beach and the whimsical walk helped to relieve some stress. Hang in there!
I saw that lovely cabin and thought of Hansel and Gretel. Lovely photos and I loved the "windus chimus"
Bon weekend. Debs x
Beautiful photos of walking along the beach...excellent way to unwind. I really enjoy visiting your blog where I see the best photos of your interpretation of nature and life. Thank you, Lin.
I love this post and how you narrated the pics. Hi Rocky!
:-D That should be me sitting in that chair by the shore. I love quiet, unpopulated places.
YUM-EEEEEEE!!! Always fun walking along with you...and I am grateful.
SisSTAR Kylita xo
Love all the photos. The light on the flowers looks awesome! Great job, Lin. Have a great weekend!
Were you at Captain's Cove in Black Rock?? Seems I've seen similar characters there!
Whatever, just a wonderful diversion!
