Part One was here: Beautiful Day For A Walk 1
,
There were a lot of wildflowers in bloom that day.
.
.
I'm not sure what this bud was and I haven't been back to see if it bloomed.
I headed to the boardwalk.
And saw this twisted vine.
Another Deptford Pink. The flowers are very small - probably not even the size of one of the petals, as it shows in this close-up.

The reflections are so pretty and calming.
i love the twisted vine. this place continues to amaze us.
Great reflections -- and I really like the photo of the boardwalk winding it's way into the marsh. You had a fantastic sky for your outing and you took full advantage of it. Great work.
dragonfly patters

love the shots of the dragonflies... know they're pretty hard to capture... and those boardwalks are so inviting... you live in a beautiful area... as always... thanks for sharing your insights and your work with us all... see ya soon...
Beautiful Shots, Love dragonflies.
Thanks for your kind thoughts left on my blog.
Cheers Jean
wow--love the last shot here, will come back for more. :)
Those reflections are great and the boardwalk through the trees is so atmospheric - the combination of organized man in the form of the boardwalk against the wildness of nature.
The lighting was just perfect! Such beautiful flowers too. :c)
Lin: I'm enjoying all your different flowers and reflection you are capturing on this walk. Very interesting shots on this walk.
The beginning of your boardwalk looks like a 1:1 copy of the one in my favorite hunting grounds. (Or vice versa). And those reflections! Bravo!
Cheers, Klaus
The photo of the buds you posted is unopened milkweed blossoms and the unidentified white flower is a morning glory. We have those around here too.
Oh, so beautiful! I'd love to put my feet on that boardwalk (I feel as though I've seen it, because of your wonderful walks).
A beautiful walk! I'd like to have a field of those Depford Pinks. I think they are beaufiul. The Trefoil and rose and other flowers are beutiful, too. Wildflowers seem more lovely to me than a lot of cultivated ones. Delicate, colorful, varied. Those last pictures are gorgeous with the perfection of the water and sky and clouds. I can help with the dragonflies this time....Blue Dasher male and Widow Skimmer male.
Another great walk with you. I wish we had someyhing like that close by here.
Good to hear from you again. Hope "things" are getting better.
i love the dasie
You should have saved the last shot for a Sky Watch.
super stuff, lin... could that unknown flower be a day lily?
That white Morning Glory is the same kind as those in one of my earliest posts Lin. They come in a great variety of colors. I will go with everyone else on the reflection. It is really beautiful.
The reflections are great photos but then also the flowers and blossoms are.
Each visit to your blog is like seeing a piece of paradise.
Thanks for sharing it.
What a nice walk! The boardwalk looks so peaceful with the grasses growing around it. My wife and I have a boardwalk that we like to hike over at Crowley Lake. It's near Mammoth Mountain in California. Nothing better than taking some time to enjoy the view!
By the way, the transparent wings of that Dragonfly are amazing. Great shot!
Its good the be back blogging after an extended break! Thanks for visiting.
All flowers are beautiful and the boardwalks are inviting!
I saw that exact same dragonfly this weekend. Do you know what it's called?
:)
Was the white flower as big as your hand or larger? I'd have to see an internal and side-shot, but I think it may be a mallow. They look like a morning glory but are much bigger. They're in bloom here in eastern North Carolina right now:

That boardwalk looks endless - I would love to take a walk. All the flowers were refreshing.
I love your walks, ..mine are getting real boring and need to find new areas. great photos. I enjoyed them.
Hi everyone, Thanks so much for all of your comments.
John, thanks for the I.Ds. I didn't even think about milkweed because most of it is so much farther along than this plant was. I used to call the white flowers "morning glory" but was told I was wrong.
Laughing Wolf, I think it's too small and more of a vine. Thank you for your help.
Joan/SA Photos, Interesting that you call them White Morning Glories, too. I wonder if that is what they will turn out to be.
June, I don't know much about Dragonflies. Mary said that they are a Blue Dasher male and Widow Skimmer male. I'll go with that. I have no knowledge of them at all.
Kimberli, Interesting idea. The white flower was smaller than my hand - maybe three inches across. Thank you for the link.
Sandy, I understand completely. I get bored around here, too. It's getting more difficult to see things, too, because the grasses are now taller and things can hide better.
Have a great day everyone. I'm still having to limit my time on the computer, so I catch up on blogging when I can.
Oh Lin - the boardwalk pictures are amazing...that last one looks as if it goes on forever...how nice! The blue sky and cloud reflections are outstanding. I love the wild rose shot! I think the white flower is what they call 'Bind Weed' (long I sound). It is like a wild morning glory. I once heard a famous English gardener say that bind weed had roots so deep that they go down to ones eventual grave! Hence...you can never get rid of them! But they are beautiful in their way (regardless that they CHOKE out other plants!
Thank you, Bird Girl! I went back for a walk tonight and looked more carefully at the leaves. I just did a search for Bindweed. The flower looks right, but the leaves aren't quite the same. The leaves on the one here have sharper edges instead of heart shaped. There are so many flowers that look exactly like it, until you see the leaves.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. The one sticking out in my head is the one with the clouds reflecting in the water and the dragonfly. Wow!
Last ones are really stunning!!
